Mobile wallets give Bank Midwest customers a highly secure and convenient way to pay with their phones in stores and on e-commerce applications. Simply hold your device up to the contactless reader at the point of sale and perform a fingerprint or facial recognition scan to authorize the transaction.

Mobile Wallet

  • What is a mobile wallet?

Make purchases in stores without swiping your card and within apps without entering payment and contact information.

By adding a Bank Midwest debit card to your mobile wallet app, you can pay with a tap of your smart phone.

  • How secure are mobile transactions?

Not only do mobile payments provide greater convenience, there’s an increased level of security.  Instead of using actual card numbers when a card is added to the mobile wallet, a unique Device Account Number is assigned, encrypted and securely stored.

When making a purchase, the Device Account Number alongside a transaction-specific dynamic security code is used to process the payment. So the real debit card number is never shared with merchants or transmitted with payments.

It’s also more private since the cashier never sees your name, card number or security code.

Temporarily Suspend Your Debit Card

Bank Midwest’s Online Banking or Mobile Banking App lets you activate or deactivate your personal debit card as needed at any time of the day or night.

For example, if you think you’ve just misplaced your physical card or forgot it at a restaurant, you can simply disable the card until you can confirm its whereabouts. You can also temporarily disable your card if you suspect theft—just make sure you report suspicious activity to us immediately.

Permanently report your debit card lost or stolen.
