Get Started

  • Enroll in mobile banking

    • Enroll in online banking.
    • Download the Bank Midwest Mobile Banking App from Apple’s App Store or Google Play store.
    • Log in using your online banking user ID and password.

  • Customize login

    Set up a PIN

Logging in with a PIN is easier than using your online banking password. You can set this up in “Settings” after you’ve logged in using your online banking username and password.

Set up Face ID or Touch ID

Customers using Apple devices can set up a Face ID or Touch ID, depending upon your device, to quickly log in using biometrics.

Learn how to enable these shortcuts on your Apple device:  Touch ID Apple Support  and  Face ID Apple Support.

    Auto Login

Users can set up Auto Login so that the app is always in view-only mode. For security reasons, we don’t recommend this for use on devices that you frequently take on the go. Make sure the device is locked with a passcode. A PIN code is needed to complete any transactions.

  • Set up mobile security alerts

    • Tap the “Alerts” tab to open mobile security alert settings.
    • Tap the email icon, enter the email address and tap to save.
    • Select “Security Alerts” in the “Configure Alerts” section to see a list of available alerts.
    • Tap each alert you’d like to receive and then touch the email alerts icon so it changes from gray to black.
    • When finished, tap “Save Changes.”

Example alert: “Alert me when a mobile deposit of $0.00 or more has been completed.” If you enter $1.00, you will receive an email for of all your successful mobile deposits.

Note that online banking offers a separate set of alerts.

  • Manage your debit card

Turn your card on and off.

You can do this at any time using your mobile app if you’ve misplaced your card or suspect it’s been stolen. Simply select “Cards” in the app and then follow the prompts.

    Manage your card use

Adjust settings that control where your card can be used by the type of merchant, type of transaction or spending limit. Select “Cards” in the app menu to activate these settings.

  • Make a mobile deposit

Save a trip to the ATM by depositing checks using your mobile device. Select the “Make a Deposit” tab and then provide the requested information.

Take a picture of the front and back of the check, preferably on a dark background for image quality.

We also recommend endorsing your check with this restriction: For Mobile Deposit Only to Bank Midwest.

Keep the check until the deposit is confirmed. Deposits are processed each day at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., except on federal holidays.

  • Transfer money

Set up one-time transfers, schedule transfers or arrange recurring transfers between Bank Midwest and other financial institutions or a person regardless of where they bank.

    Bank Midwest transfers.

Pick the Bank Midwest accounts you want to move money between, the amount and the date to transfer the funds.

    External transfers.

First you need to validate ownership of the external account:

    • Go to External Transfer > Account > + Add.
    • Enter the external financial institution’s routing number, account number and account type. The account status will then appear “In Process.”
    • Deposits of a few cents will appear in the external account within 1-3 business days. Once they do, open the Bank Midwest mobile app and tap the account listed “In Process.” Confirm the amount of each deposit.

You can now make transfers to the external account by selecting the arrow on the top right of your screen. Express transfers are free and take 2-3 business days (some limitations apply). Standard transfers take 3-5 business days.

    Pay a person.

Select Pay a Person > Send Money (or Request Money). Next, select the account, the amount and enter the individual’s name and email or mobile phone. The individual will receive a notification with a secure link that instructs them how to complete the transfer.

Funds are usually transferred in 3-5 business days.

  • Use mobile wallets

Mobile wallets give Bank Midwest customers a highly secure and convenient way to pay with their phones in stores and on e-commerce applications. Simply hold your device up to the contactless reader at the point of sale and perform a fingerprint or facial recognition scan to authorize the transaction.

    How it works

Upon adding your Bank Midwest debit or credit card to you wallet, a unique Device Account Number is assigned, encrypted and securely stored. Each time you use your mobile wallet to make a purchase, the Device Account Number and a transaction-specific dynamic security code is used to process the payment. This means the real card number is never shared with merchants or transmitted with payments, ensuring its safety from POS skimmers and other sources of payment fraud.

    Setting up your mobile wallet

It’s as easy to set up as it is to use (just have your Bank Midwest MasterCard® Debit Card ready).

    Apple Pay

Simply open the Wallet app on your iOS device and follow the on-screen instructions. You can also configure Apple Pay to work through your Apple Watch.

    Google Pay

Download the Google Pay app from the Google Play store, and follow the on-screen prompts. Google Pay is also compatible with some smartwatches.

    Samsung Pay

Locate the pre-installed app on your Samsung device or download it from the Google Play store. Samsung Pay is also compatible with select smartwatches
