Bank Midwest Welcomes New Commercial Lender, Tom Nelson

Spirit Lake – Bank Midwest welcomes Tom Nelson to the team.

Tom Nelson has joined Bank Midwest as a Commercial Lender. He will be based out of the Spirit Lake, Iowa office, and will work with businesses throughout Iowa.

“Tom is an excellent addition to the team,” said Luke Donnenwerth, Market President at Bank Midwest. “After successfully working with businesses as an economic development leader in Iowa and Minnesota, he brings a unique understanding of the needs of businesses in our market. I believe they will benefit from Tom’s fresh perspective on banking and growth.”

A graduate of Bethel University, Tom was raised in Tracy, Minnesota and spent his summers in Okoboji visiting his grandparents. In addition to his role at Bank Midwest, Tom has been a Soldier with the Minnesota Army National Guard since 2013, and was commissioned as a Military Intelligence Officer in 2017. Tom and his wife, Krista Nelson are expecting their first child in December.
