Spirit Lake, Iowa — Bank Midwest is investing in the future of the Iowa Great Lakes region with a $20,000 donation from the Bank Midwest Community Fund to the Conservation Foundation of Dickinson County to support the development of the new Nature Playscape at Kenue Park.
The nature playscape will create an accessible outdoor destination where children and families can play, explore, learn and connect with nature. Designed to serve people of all abilities, the playscape will provide a unique recreational experience for local families while also adding another attraction for visitors enjoying the Iowa Great Lakes region.
Tourism plays an important role in the communities surrounding the Iowa Great Lakes, bringing families and visitors to the area throughout the summer months. Projects like the Kenue Park Nature Playscape help strengthen the region’s appeal as a destination by providing additional opportunities for visitors to spend time outdoors, explore the area and create memories with their families.
“Investments like this are about more than building a place for children to play,” said Tim Quick, Regional President & Head of Commercial Lending. “They’re about creating experiences that families can enjoy together, giving visitors another reason to explore our area and helping make the Iowa Great Lakes an even stronger place to live, work and visit. We’re excited to support the Conservation Foundation of Dickinson County and their vision for an accessible space that will benefit the entire region.”
The playscape will also provide opportunities for hands-on learning and exploration, encouraging children to interact with the natural environment in a way that is both educational and fun. Its location at Kenue Park makes it a natural addition to the area’s existing recreational and outdoor amenities. The Conservation Foundation of Dickinson County is leading the effort to bring the nature playscape to Kenue Park as part of its commitment to preserving and enhancing natural spaces and recreational opportunities throughout the community.
