A park bench might seem like a small thing, but it can make a big difference in how people enjoy their community. Bank Midwest is helping give Sherburn’s city parks a refresh with a $5,000 Community Fund donation to the Sherburn Civic Commerce Club to update all city park benches.

Whether it’s a place to take a break during a walk, watch kids play, or catch up with a neighbor, park benches offer a simple way for people to slow down and enjoy the outdoors. Updating the benches will help keep Sherburn’s parks comfortable and welcoming for residents and visitors alike.

“We love supporting projects that make our communities a little better for everyone,” said Nicky Simpson, Market President. “Parks are places where people come together, and we’re happy to help the Sherburn Civic Commerce Club make these shared spaces even more inviting.”

Through its Community Fund, Bank Midwest supports local projects and organizations that help communities grow and thrive. From improving public spaces to supporting programs that bring people together, the fund reflects the bank’s commitment to the places its customers and employees call home.

Bank Midwest appreciates the Sherburn Civic Commerce Club and the local volunteers who work to make Sherburn a great place to live, work, and gather.
