IMPORTANT NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS WHO SHOPPED AT A TARGET STORE BETWEEN NOV. 27 – DEC. 15
Target Corp. has confirmed that data from about 40 million credit and debit cards used for in-store purchases between November 27 and December 15 may have been stolen.
The breach involves nearly all of Target’s 1,797 stores nationwide. The cyber criminals accessed customer names, credit or debit card numbers, expiration dates and three-digit security codes.
Every Bank Midwest customer who used their debit card at a Target store during that time period will automatically be issued a new debit card.
Your current debit card will work until you receive your new card. To keep your card from being used fraudulently, please do the following:
- Activate your new card as soon as it arrives.
- Until you receive your new card, be vigilant and watch your account activity closely. If you detect any unauthorized transactions notify us immediately at 888.902.5662.
If you want to de-activate your current card immediately, we’ll be happy to do that. Call 888.902.5662 and we’ll take care of it for you. If you have already contacted us to de-activate your card, we have done so and you may disregard this notice.
