Student Education Program
It's never too early (or late!) to learn how to save and manage your money. We help students start learning early about the importance of saving money.
Teach
Each year we invite first graders to make a field trip to the Bank Midwest in their local community to learn about money during a tour of the bank and vault. The kids learn about savings and interest through storytelling and an entertaining program.Save
In the Fall, we donate $250-500 to the first grade class in each public school and the money is placed in a class savings account.Grow
Throughout their school years, the students receive annual bank statements showing how much their money is growing through interest earned. The students are encouraged to make additional investment decisions.
Spend
During their senior year, the class closes out their account. With the help of a faculty advisor, the students decide how the money should be spent for their school or graduation.
